QuesCom and Innovaphone Counter Principal IP Adoption Barrier In Landmark Partnership

QuesCom today announced a ground-breaking partnership with Innovaphone

London, U.K., Friday, August 19, 2005:

QuesCom, manufacturer of IP/GSM gateways and advanced telephony applications, today announced a ground-breaking partnership with Innovaphone that ensures full compatibility between its QuesCom 400 IP/GSM Gateway and Innovaphone’s IP PBX – thereby removing end-user concerns about IP migration costs, the major obstacle to adoption across Europe. The high levels of interoperability are the result of the close relationship and strategic alignment between both companies, and a testament to the extensive testing programme that took place to prior to market delivery.

Customers adopting both solutions will benefit from the flexible, secure and efficient approach to IP-based communications offered by Innovaphone‘s IP PBX, and the rapid return on IT investment delivered by the QuesCom 400 IP GSM – to the extent that an entire IP migration can be justified through the unit’s strategic cost saving capacity.

The QuesCom IP GSM Gateway delivers immediate reductions of between 50 and 90 per cent on corporate phone bills to users of Innovaphone’s IP PBX, by converting costly landline-to-mobile calls to less expensive mobile-to-mobile calls. This creates a strong business case for companies looking to migrate to an IP environment, as these savings can be offset against the price of the PBX and other IP hardware – such as handsets and switchboards.

Users also have the option to deploy QuesCom’s ground-breaking call management software, which extends the functionality of the entire IP network and allows users handle their communications with an increased level of organisation and effectiveness.

Phillippe Oros, Founder and President, QuesCom, comments: “Partnering with Innovaphone provides QuesCom with an exciting opportunity to expand significantly our European reach. By aligning our market leading technology with that of Innovaphone, we have created a seamless solution that helps companies realise the full promise of IP-based communications, while also providing a safe, secure and cost-effective framework in which they can migrate to IP technology.

Dagmar Geer, CEO at Innovaphone, concludes: “IP-based communications have undoubtedly come of age and businesses are much more open to its benefits. However, some barriers to adoption do remain in place, particularly around cost sensitivity. By partnering with QuesCom, we are able to remove this obstacle and deliver secure and scaleable IP communications to a much wider base than was possible before.

Both products are available with immediate effect from selected reseller and distributor partners across Europe. For local availability, please visit http://www.quescom.com or contact QuesCom office on +33 (0)4 97 23 48 48 or by email at sales@quescom.com.
